Artist Statement:

Art has always been part of my life—it began the moment my mother placed a pen in my hand. Since then, I’ve followed a lifelong path of creative exploration. My work is grounded in a deep appreciation for the beauty found in the natural world, yet it is shaped by my own visual language—through color, gesture, pattern, and ornament. I paint what captures my attention and spirit: the curve of a body, the bend of a stem, the light across a landscape, always aiming to preserve a fleeting moment before it slips away.

I work in a range of mediums—watercolor, acrylic, pastel, graphite, toned papers, raw canvas, and linen—and I move fluidly between them, choosing based on what the subject seems to ask for. My background in fashion and home decor often finds its way into my compositions through an intuitive sense of style, balance, and surface detail. Whether I’m painting a figure, a flower, or an open sky, I try to retain a sense of immediacy and play. Whimsy and spontaneity are constant companions in my process.

Simplicity is the mark I strive for—not minimalism, but the kind of clarity that reveals something essential. I’m not driven by melancholy or angst; making art brings me joy. It keeps me engaged, responsive, alive to the world and its details. I’m always exploring—sometimes it's the medium, sometimes the subject, sometimes the culture around me—but always with the intent to stay curious and keep moving forward.
